Pike Place Market is one of the oldest continuously operated public farmers’ market in the United States and is visited by more than 10 million visitors annually! Located at the end of Pike Street in downtown Seattle, the Market is just a short walk from the Paramount Hotel Seattle.

To ensure a great experience at the Market, visit on a weekday morning. Grab a coffee from the first Starbucks and take a stroll through the stalls. Crowds are thinner and the earlier you arrive, the better the selection!

Space Needle

When thinking of the Seattle Skyline, your first thought is likely the iconic Space Needle. Built for the 1962 World’s Fair, the Space Needle is located just north of the downtown area at Seattle Center. Upon opening, it drew over 2 million visitors - nearly 20,000 per day during the World's Fair!

Rising 605 feet into the air, the 41 second ride to the top of the Space Needle thrills more than 1 million visitors annually, making it the #1 tourist attraction in the Northwest. It was once the tallest structure west of the Mississippi River and was built to withstand winds of 200 miles per hour and an earthquake with a 9.1 magnitude.

The observation deck is located 520 feet above sea level and boasts 360° views of Seattle and surrounding neighborhoods, bodies of water and mountains. A world class restaurant, Sky City, is located just below the observation deck and offers diners an exquisite revolving experience so you can sit back, dine and enjoy all the views from the comforts of your seat.

Chihuly Garden and Glass at Seattle Center

Located on a 1.5-acre plot of land adjacent to the Space Needle and the Armory at Seattle Center, the site of the 1962 World’s Fair, the Chihuly Garden and Glass is easily accessible from the Paramount Hotel Seattle. Hop on the monorail and take the 90-second ride to Chihuly Garden and Glass, showcasing the stunning glasswork of renowned glass artist Dale Chihuly.

The exhibit is comprised of three primary components. The exhibit includes a lush Garden, the centerpiece Glasshouse and the Exhibition Hall with eight galleries and three Drawing Walls.

The installation in the Glasshouse is an expansive 100-foot long sculpture and is one of Chihuly’s largest suspended sculptures.

Chihuly, a Washington native, graduated from the University of Washington before attending the first glass blowing program in the country at the University of Wisconsin. His work can be seen in more than 200 museum collections all over the world and in May 2012, Seattle Center welcomed it newest attraction in the Chihuly Garden and Glass permanent exhibit.
